Summary
The book of Gemini is a story about a woman's journey in finding herself through tragedy, love and pain. She was born under the Gemini sign in 1981. Raised in Washington DC. Mikaylah Gemini Michel is her given name, but everyone calls her Gemini. She was born into a multiracial family, Black, Jamaican and Greek. Her journey takes you from her childhood into adulthood. Her issues with life began at a very young age. Gemini always had to deal with other people's perception of her. Kids can be very cruel especially when they don't know any better. And the fact that she was lost, and couldn't find her own identity in her own family ethnicity confused her even more. Never one to backdown from anyone or anything, Gemini's rage always kept her on the path of pain and turmoil, which left her father no choice but to channel her energy. So he trained her in Aikido and boxing. She took to it and excelled in it beyond his wildest dreams. Arrogance became her strength and her weakness. She believed that on any given day she could beat any one -- woman or man. Gemini loved her father more than anything, to her he was God. With his death it would impact her life and her relationships with men in more ways then she would ever know. She was gorgeous, tall, athletic, very intelligent and funny. But she also had a dark side to her. Sex, love, romance and pain ruled her world. Basically she was a very complex woman. She became a basketball star at Georgetown University. And from there she became a very successful entrepreneur as a promoter. With her girlfriends and family they will take on the world. From Georgetown to the streets of North East D.C. and back to Georgetown again. She will find out the only way to the top is to fight your way there
