- Summary

- A terrible crime shakes the peaceful region of the Terra Alta: the owners of their largest company, Graphics Adell, are killed after being subjected to heinous torture. Melchor Marín, a young policeman and voracious reader arrived from Barcelona four years ago, is in charge of the case, with a dark past that has made him a legend of the body and that he believes he has buried under his happy life as husband of the librarian of the town and father of a girl named Cosette, like the daughter of Jean Valjean, the protagonist of his favorite novel: Les Miserables. Starting from that event, and through a thrilling narrative full of memorable characters, this novel becomes a lucid reflection on the value of the law, the possibility of justice and the legitimacy of revenge, but especially in the epic of a man in search of his place in the world
