Summary
Based on true events, this semi-biographical film is about aspiring American poet John M. Brinnin who 1950 arranged a series of poetry readings at the most prestigious college campuses of the United States for his hero, Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and their turbulent relationship as Brinnin embarks on a week-long private retreat to his family's cabin in the woods of Connecticut in a desperate attempt to save the infamous, volatile celebrity poet who scandalized the Manhattan literati and challenged Brinnin's worship of his work
